The symposium on Fever: The
Role of the Vagus Nerve took place on April 16, 2000, in San Diego, California,
at the Experimental Biology Meeting. Four sections of the
American Physiological Society sponsored
the symposium: Environmental and Exercise Physiology; Central Nervous
System; Endocrinology and Metabolism; and Neural Control and Autonomic
Regulation.
The papers listed below were published
by the
Autonomic Neuroscience:
Basic and Clinical as the
proceedings of this symposium. This publication was made possible by Dr. G. Burnstock (Editor-in-Chief), Dr. P.L.R. Andrews
(Associate Editor), Dr. R. Fisher-Driessen (Elsevier, Publishing Editor), and Ms. M. Twaig
(Elsevier, Administrative Editor). Drs. M.C. Andresen, H.-R. Berthoud, C.M. Blatteis, L.V. Borovikova, M. Cabanac,
